Irresponsible yes. But are parents always 100% aware of what their kids are doing?
It's just a minor mishap that could of ended worse. Chances are the kid is traumatized enough by that experience.
Not like acquiring a new gorilla is "that" hard. Sure it's a pain in the ass to source a new gorilla but gorillas plentiful enough where harambe dying really doesnt screw over the zoo that much.

I just feel like that kid's mom should have been paying better attention. I feel like Harambe died, because of that stupid kid, and his mom.
