    • I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be harsh.
However I am renowned for having little tact or not sugar-coating the pill - even in real life but I always tell the truth.

You can learn a lot on this site from others who have made your mistakes in the past and save yourself years of heartache and heart-break. A lot may go against your own nature but I believe you do not get what you deserve, rather, you get what you settle for. So don't be a doormat for anyone and make sure you're not with a 'taker'. I went out with a miserly guy once and it is a rotten quality in a person!

      Good luck!

      • Thanks, that's really good advice. The person that I find myself trying to make happy is not a "taker", she likes to do things for herself but I still try to make her happy...It's like there's something wrong with me?

        • No there's not something wrong with you - you just want to make her happy and that's understandable. But, material possessions don't make anybody happy. The best thing you can do is make her laugh.

I have friends who send me loads of funny pictures and photos on facebook (which I've only started to use) so sometimes at night I show the best ones to my husband and we laugh for ages :) Simple things like that make someone want to be with you - coz you're good fun.

You could be really good to someone and be boring to them so it's always good to introduce the odd surprise!

          Good luck.
