To a 50 year old, 30 is spring chicken young. To a 70 yo, it's forty years ago. To an 80 yo, it's half a decade... and so on. Conclusion - 30 is young. It's only old to a ten year old. At fifteen, I was well aware that I was half way to 30. What a bizarre view on life this guy must have.
He was an immature 20-year-old looking for ways to manipulate my lil young heart. Many years later, I am now his age...and heck no, I wouldn't off myself at 30 -- or ever, actually.
