That makes a lot of sense actually. I understand your thoughts now. I too have wanted to be less intelligent at times because of this. But then I discovered what life is all about and realized I am much better off having knowledge.

our job in life is to make positive impacts on society and the world. You have to realize that your life isn't singular, you are part of a whole, the rest of society, and you're supposed to be contributing to that.
Is it normal to want to be unable to read or write?

to be honest id rather be illiterate and marry a nice lass and stay at home, a sort of reversal to how it was a few centuries ago
