Is it normal to want to be the opposite gender, but not want to transition?

I'm a woman. I am a lot more masculine than other women and feel like I don't belong with them. I pretend to be a man online. I want to be a guy, but I don't want to be transgender. I just find a FTM transition to not suffice. Is that okay?

What do you mean by being more masculine than other women? Maybe you mix with stereotypically feminine women?

You do realise that although we're born with either male or female gender (unless intersex) that masculinity and femininity are artifically conditioned constructs? I reckon it would be good if you could be happy with whatever sort of person you are without putting labels on yourself.

Do a search for female "masking". I just watched a story that on an old talk show on the Roku channel.

If I could be a man I'd like to look like Johnny Depp, he's rather elegant.

Just be yourself. You don't have to follow societies guidelines. However, for health reasons, it's better to put on paper that you are physically female.

Be a masculine woman then. Last I checked that's still allowed. Injecting hormones and shit to go full trans is awful for your mental and physical health.

same lol i just go with androgynous or soft tomboy style in everyday life, online most people think Im a guy and I dont correct them, maybe even get into transvestism/drag shows, and its a lot more than just wearing male clothing and drawing on some facial hair to pass..quite fun, but never tried irl. and like Ellenna said your feelings most likely related to social reasons, but still fun to (cross)dream..

Do you feel like a lesbian? Or wish you had male equipment and still like men?
