if you are out of the house and living on your own and you have been dating for a year or more and she has stayed at your place for a week at a time or longer meaning you can cohabitate comfortably i would say you should get married and if you are financially stable enough to afford it have a kid after married and living together for at least a year then see how you like being parents and don't have another kid till the first one(s) are at least 5 so he/she/they can help take care of the new one.
