I am a british male and i wish i was Japanese, i find it hard to explain but i would love to wake up in the life of a Japanese man and go to my Japanese job to meet my Japanese friends while listening to my Japanese music.
I love listening to all Japanese music even though here my musical taste is pretty genre specific.
Haha my friend say that as well ...well kinda he says he wants to be born in japan to be able to speak, learn its culture and ways yet keep his race the same. He doesnt want to actually be japanese because apparentlly in his book asians have small penises hahaha just wanted to get that out of my system.

It's very normal. I can relate to you but vice-versa. I'm asian and I want to embrace European culture. I'm fascinated by the Middle Ages, Middle Earth, Knights, Medieval Martial Arts, Jousting, Swords, Shields and etc. I love Classical Music (Composers such as Bach and Vivaldi), European foods, European Art, European languages and the list just goes on and on.
I think it's fine, I sometimes want to be a cute japanese high school student.
You have xenophilia. You're very sick and this obsession/love of foreigners (specific or not) is NOT healthy. You should be proud of your heritage and love your people (and yourself for who you are!).
What exactly is there to be proud about, being born in a certain country? Nobody gets a choice in the matter.
We may not all speak the same language or eat the same food, but we are all still human beings. Are you really going to let an invisible line on a map determine what you can and can't love?

I would argue that it isn't unhealthy based on the fact it doesn't consume me, it just something i think and fantasize about quite regularly

i am depressed for the fact that i am not japanese ! i keep telling my mom to send me to japan ! i will make my life there and also get married to a japanese guy! but alas its just a fantasy :(
don't loose hope! you can atleast live in japan even if your not japanese . You can also make japanese friends , learn fluent japanese and also get married to a japanese girl :P
i know many people who are like you and me ! so dont loose hope ! go to japan !! that would solve everything !

they call your kind the weeaboo. me and my buddies personally call you guys fakenese. either way i think it's pretty silly. being so obsessed with a rediculious sub-culture based on cartoons. fucking makes me laugh my ass-off. all the jappy music you guys listen to sounds like the korean backsteet boys. sure anime is cool, so is pocky and you like j-pop? good for you but why would you ONLY listen to j-pop? because you are a tool plain and simple. you should invent your own personality traits if you want to be fake don't just copy a groups that you feel you somehow belong to.
Well, just know that living in Japan isn't all rainbows and sunshine and Pocky and anime. Do you watch TheJapanChannelDotCom on Youtube? The guy makes a lot of good points about how awesome Japan is, but he also makes a lot of great points about the problems and drawbacks of Japan. I REALLY suggest checking out that channel on Youtube if you want to truly learn about life in Japan.
I wish that I was MORE Japanese. It sucks big time. At the same time I wish I was Korean. Korean music is fucking amazing!!!
I think the same thing, just to be part of their history, and their music is just unique, they have the most perfect skin, their fashion is amazing, I love there anime shows, there technology is out of this world and there food is to die for, I would love to be Japanese, they are amazing
