Do you just want to be hit to hurt, or does it make you aroused to be hit? You could be a masochist if it's the second.

Yes, it's normal - at least in the sense that our attractions and arousals are not conscious choices. There are many parts of psychology that would argue a person could be masochistic because of a previous sexual trauma in their life. Some believe there's a part of our minds that transition fears that we have as children into turn-ons when we enter adulthood. Now there's never going to be a concrete answer on these theories because not everyone who is masochistic has had sexual trauma. Bottom line, we don't know why people are *any* sexuality. I would suggest, however, exploring if there was any trauma you may have experienced from your past. It won't change your attractions, but it may give you a better understanding as to your identity, and accepting what you are.

I'm assuming you want to be hit because you get off on that kind of thing. I'd say its mostly normal within reasonable limits, since the spectrum of "normal" human sexual tastes is extremely broad.
