Is it normal to want to be friends after someone has rejected you?

I was recently rejected by someone. They didn't say it outright, but it is obvious they're not interested.

I'm not sure if I should try to be friends with them. I've texted them a couple times and when we talk about things that we're both interested in they tend to reply fairly quickly (Usually within minutes, sometimes within seconds). They're typically not the one to initiate the conversation in texting or person.

I'm not sure if this is because they might feel there's awkward tension between us because they still think I want to pursue them romantically or if they don't want anything to do with me.

I talk to me ex a lot of the time. In fact, i happen to be best friends with my ex and close friends with her boyfriend. Of course things can be a bit awkward, but that's just something you have to work through

Stop texting her and wait for her to text you first. Simple.

What if she never does? :o

someone has to take the initiative

chasing a girl is not a bad thing. if she doesnt want him chasing her then she can block his number

Yeah, if she knows your info but never tries to get ahold of you then SHE DOESN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU! Fuck off already.

Or she is just apathic towards him and could wind up liking him under the right circumstances.
