While it tends to look best with pale skin if you pull it off right you can make it look great no matter what color your skin is. =]

I think youre getting confused an emo is not something you choose to be its just you if you wanted to be an emo or was an emo you would be an emo because of your personality, dont let your race stop you from doing anything, but you cant want to be an emo either you are or your not. Emos cut themselves and things like that btw

It doesnt matter wat race u r lol my hispanic cuzin is emo. She doesnt cut herself shes not depressed shes actually one of the happiest person ik. She likes to wear black and cute bows wit funky hair styles but thts about it.. I think its jus a style of its own

Ive seen "Emo" dressed people who are black, mixed, white, asian..etc. Dress however you want, but just know that Emo doesnt have a good reputation. Basically people around where I am consider them rich kids from good families who are always depressed for no reason, pansies, cut themselves, & just want attention. Or the world to think theyre troubled when they arent. Go for more of a rocker style or eklectic vibe. Im sure you can find a happy medium, but dont call yourself emo unless you want the negative too!

When I was a teenager (16 etc.) there was no emo, you just liked rock music and dressed as such. Not to say that punk and goth style didn't exist but really stop categorizing everything.
