  • Show me how I am wrong. I didn't use subjective terms I used concrete numbers and the US governments own numbers for poverty.

If you can make $20 an hour as a security guard like the other
    Poster do it.

I too have an axiety disorder so I understand the reasoning. I am just telling you its a poor choice. The stress from being poor is FAR FAR worse than any job.

    • It's not a subjective term. You don't seem to be listening to me. This job pays enough. It is not a poor job where I live. It is a pretty legit job. I have no clue where you got your numbers from, but they're just wrong. I repeat: Security guards get paid good wages where I live. It is nothing compared to a job that requires a college degree, but it is more than enough to live a normal life.

      • I got $10 from YOU. Direct Quote: "The living wage where I live, for one person, is ten dollars an hour" then did the math.

I'm interested in the conversation because if it pays good I will fucking move there and do it myself.

You seem to be more interested in being a jerk than talking to people so NO ITS NOT NORMAL!!

        • I am a jerk to everyone who is a jerk to me. I am interested in talking to people more than I am being a jerk, actually. Which is why I was having a long and normal argument with you. You seem upset you're not understanding my points. So now you're randomly calling me a jerk. Your math is absolutely useless. The living wage takes your math out the window. Security guards usually get paid over the living wage here. I should be perfectly fine. End of conversation. So far your argument has been you blubbering about your useless math. Neither of us are switching stances it seems, so let's just stop this.

          • Then what do they get paid?? I am basing it of the wages in seattle washington and what you told me. We have no concept of living wage. We have a minimum wage. Security guards here make roughly $12 an hour. You said your living wage is 10 so i used that.

Why dont you share what you expext to make and i can help you figure out if you can live on it.

            Its pointless without figures tho.

            • $12 is pretty much also the average security guards get paid here. The minimum wage here is $7.25. The living wage is what is considered the wage you can live comfortably with. That is $10 for one person here. I don't understand how making OVER the living wage is bad.
