Don't listen to any of these haters. The less responsibility you take on the happier you will be. Anyone saying anything else is just bitter that they invested all their time in getting a "career" only to find out they aren't as happy as they thought they'd be, and feel like everyone else needs to be the same way. They justify it by telling themselves that they're morally superior to those that are actually happy.
Security is kind of dumb though, I'm not a fan of appointed authority figures.

Security guards have no authority. They can only call cops same as you and are instructed not to touch, apprehend or chase anyone.
