The living wage where I live, for one person, is ten dollars an hour. Security guards here get paid at the very least that much. Living in a room in someone's house? What? Looks you're the one who needs to lay off the pot. Get your facts straight.

What is the average rent there mate? Cause your income is going to be around $1200 a month IF you get 40 hours a week.
Do a budget.

$10 an hour x 160 hrs = $1600
Minus tax!! $1200-$1400 left over.
Yearly take home $14400 -$16200.
