I get desires to want to be a girl. I'm finding it more acceptable to live my life this way too. I started wearing my hair more feminine about six months ago. I want to start painting my nails, wearing makeup, and wear girls' clothes. But right now I don't think I'd look good (I'm a little overweight, about 200 pounds). I'm a little afraid of how my friends would think of me.
The whole situation is getting me worried. Is it normal for some people to want this?
And let me guess, you were raised by a suburban, oblivious, Caucasian woman who still wipes your sack. Single mothers may raise non suppressed LGBT's, but suburban house wives raise emotionless, white, teenagers who shoot elementary schoolers, sssoooo. . . I think i'm down with the transsexuals.
Well, I think it started when I was ten. My aunt uncle and cousin had to take care of me. The house was dominated by women. I started wearing my cousin's clothes. It just felt so natural. I miss those days...
I was also molested by my cousin (different cousin) when I was five-ish if that matters.
It's actually a fact that most crossdressers/transvestites are straight, so you might not even have much to worry about there. That being said, you open yourself up to a lot of judgment if you start to do/be either.

Its your life and I think you should do what you want. Whether its wanting to be more feminine or bulking up like those giant body builders, there will always be assholes who give dirty looks or make stupid remarks but its your life, not theirs. Its the only one you'll ever get so do what makes you happy. If your friends have a problem with it then I suspect they aren't really good friends. So I say go for it.
