    It's allowed, and if you looked into it you'd see that it's actually quite a common theme here.

    To the OP: I have no idea how to assess your situation as far as "normality" goes (animals: not normal; children: I'm honestly not sure), but so long as you're not hurting anyone, you're no monster.

    By the way, I'd think twice before taking CheyChey's advice; I predict that getting "help" could harm you more than it could help you.

      This. Depending on where you live, psychiatrists may be obligated to report you to the police.
