It's normal and it's also good to only do it with someone you have genuine strong feelings for. I would say only if you love them, but people have so many mixed views on what love really is nowadays. By my views, it should be with someone who you would want to spend the rest of your life with. Even though I know how much you want that contact, it will always feel better to do it with that person who's special and right for you.
