  • A few things. This is probably the most effective way to lose weight really fast. The problem is that it gets addictive because once you realise that you don't really *need* to eat - the tendency is to push it as far as you can go, which can be dangerous.

And people are right when they say, the weight comes right back on when you start eating again. You really do go into starvation mode. However you're still eating every day which is good. Maybe just don't be so extreme about it. Sure, cut down your portions but don't be ridiculous about it.

I did this a few years ago, and I certainly was not anorexic. So I guess it comes down to how obsessed you are about it (although the more you do it, the easier it is to become obsessed!). The other thing people don't talk about is how good it feels. The mental clarity and energy; you feel amazing and in control of everything. Obviously this feeling won't last forever if you really starve yourself of energy.

But all in all, it genuinely is better to be patient and lose weight slowly - what you're doing could be just too extreme to sustain itself.

So I'm just saying be careful, as it does sound like it could be a problem for you.
But you're not necessarily suddenly 'anorexic'. I think that comes down to what's in your head.
