Is it normal to want my ex back?

Basically I want my ex back. I was the one that broke up with him and I feel like this would keep me from getting back with him. We only dated for a couple months, but he was the best boyfriend I ever had. I feel bad because I don't want to hurt him but I like him. At least, I think I do. I find myself looking at him in class again, and getting jealous when other girls are around him and hugging him. Would it be wrong to see if he would take me back? Is it normal to want him back?

    It's normal. You sound like every other woman. You don't want him when you have him, but when he's gone you don't want anyone else to have him either.

    If you really like him, leave him alone.

    Well I did break up with him, but it wasn't to be with someone else. I haven't dated since I was with him. I did break up with a guy to be with him if that means anything.
