I don't quite agree with the idea that they shouldn't be allowed to give toys with meals because of obesity. I've just never heard a good rationale for it. That doesn't mean there isn't one, but it doesn't really make sense to me.
But it *is* true that a lot of those toys end up in the trash. I've known kids (albeit not that many) who don't care about those toys or want them to begin with. It would also allow parents to make a policy or not buying those toys if they don't want them around.
Is it normal to want McDonald's to stop giving out toys?
