we all want what's best for our children, that's natural, but no matter how your children are created they wont be perfect, but they will be yours and you'll love them anyway
i want my kids to be able to spin spider webs and lactate by force of will
Breeders... If you're going to litter the world with more people, at least be happy with what you're making. If you don't like what you've got to "contribute", then don't. Having a kid because you want to create something cute and pretty is bastardly of you, even if it's only a partial reason. Go commission yourself a grand 6 tiered trophy to show off to your friends. Or get a puppy FFS.
The Nazis were very interested in gene purity, particularly aesthetic physical attributes. They'd vote "Yes, Normal".
That said, I'm not against it. But the science, practice, and ethics of it is at least 50 years away for me to support it. And I don't hold much hope for the ethics part of it given the tendencies of the individuals of our species and our values as a society.
I think, OP, you'd better describe the differentiation between "good" and "bad" genes.
No.... Suck it up
