Is it normal to want criminal punishment be more draconian?

    All sins are equal in Gods eyes a liar is as bad as a murder or even a child molester in Gods eyes a liar has the chance for redemption as does any other sinner we have all sinned and do not deserve mercy but mercy is given to us by the lord so why should we not practice being Christ like and showing mercy to others
