Is it normal to wanna change my last name?

I feel the need to change my last name, but like what issuegirl said, it doesn't affect you and your dad! I'm wishing to change it since lots of people around where I live know my dad, but I do not, (period) want to keep it from what my parents has done!!! It's kind of backwards, but for the people who know what I feel, I hope you could understand!!

changing your last name won't change the way you feel about your dad. i think you should keep it

Plenty of people change their names, first and last. The artist Judy Chicago changed only her last name to eliminate paternal lineage.

i hate my last name. i'd love to change it. no disrespect intended to my dad like, just everyone says it wrong or they don't spell it right. i might be changing it to my nans maiden name, as my mums maiden name belongs to her father, and he was a horrible, horrible man.

A name is just a name to me but, then again, I see nothing wrong my name.
