You've analysed me all wrong. I hate attention being out on me. I don't get bored in conversations. No one is yet to call me "boring", but I'll admit, people often get the wrong impression of me when I talk to them. They think that I am uninterested in them when that is rarely the case. I added my comment because, I felt that it might help to shed some light on the OP's situation. My intention only was to help. That's all.
