  • I had this (similar) thing happen last night, actually. It was blood sugar related though. Although I often have anxiety-nightmares, where I believe I'm in a coma-like state and cannot move but am awake/conscious - just cannot move, until I fully wake up.
But last night, I woke up doused in sweat, shaking, dizzy etc - right before waking, I felt like I couldn't regain any feeling. The heavy feeling in your arms, many explain. When it feels as though your mind is awake/body is in a form of 'sleep'. But it was a diabetic-shock, I believe (after consultation) after eating and getting carbohydrates in, I was able to feel OK enough to sleep, again ;It could be anxiety related. But just in case, try eating once you awake in this state (if it's a blood-sugar issue, blood sugar drops it's lowest nearing 3-5am) So make sure you eat properly, before bed. I doubt it's a 'diabetic-issue' like mine, but you never know. I'm not diagnosed, I just have every symptom. Even though I'm 25 and 115pds. So it may be something else, either way get checked out.
