Is it normal to wake up during a wet dream?

When I was a teenager I would experience wet dreams when awake. I would just come out of sleep and lie there and get this sensation and I would look at it as I ejaculated, but was this normal, was I the only one who experienced it while actually awake? I read that it really happens during sleep and then the person would wake up to find a wet sticky patch, please tell me.

Is It Normal?

    All a part of growing up and even when grown you can still get wet dreams

    Weirdly I never had wet dreams as a teenager... Then woke up in the middle of my first one in my late 20s! It was in a really awkward place too.. In the upstairs bunk of a friend's VW camper, so I had to carefully get myself out without waking anyone, to clean meself up outside. So yes... Quite normal.
