My girlfriend and I have an argument and we can't decide whether it is normal or not so hope you guys can help us out.

My girlfriend is from Brasil and we are now both living in the Netherlands. A few years back a friend of hers stayed over here for a few days and we showed her around here. I swapped email adresses with her and we talk now and then by messenger. Nothing improper, we usually talk about normal stuff like jobs, plans for the coming time, the usual.

Anyways since I am going for a few weeks by myself to Brasil (which is another story, but gf is ok with this), it is possible that she and I meet to do some sightseeing there. My girlfriend does not agree with that and even threatens to break up if I do see her. Now my question is it normal to visit my girlfriends friend without my gf being there too ?

    U shouldn't be spending any time alone with another girl without ur gf. Especially if she doesn't like it. If she trusted this friend then her answer would be different. She must not fully trust her or is just uncomfortable with it. Don't ruin things with ur gf to c some girl.

    thats sketchy. i understand her feelings. how would you feel if she went away for 2 weeks with another guy? would you be comfortable with that? i don't think it's because she doesn't trust you but that can be a scary situation knowing that she's at home and your away with another woman. try to put yourself in her shoes for a moment. how close are you with this friend? are you attracted to her in anyway? really sit down and think about it. and switch the roles and see how'd you feel if it was the other way around.
