Is it normal to view life as a video game?

Sometimes, I think of life as a video game. When someone asks me to do something, I think of it as a quest. When I have to do something I don't want to, I think of it as power-leveling a skill. I think of other people as well-designed NPC's and I think of the world as having really good graphics. Is this normal?

That's a great way to look at life. Just don't look at the world like Call of Duty, or you'll end up a serial killer.

That's all great until you get hit by a bus and realize there's no health kits available in real life.

At least not the kind in video games.

This would tolerable if you felt like people were other characters, but well designed NPC's? I think that's too detached to be fun anymore. Everyone is just like you.
