Is it normal to use & buy ordinary items?

First I got myself an average-looking atheist T-shirt to look normal (paid for thru the internet), the next thing I bought on the internet is just a normal battery-operated pocket AM-FM radio, it's just a low-tech silver radio with an antenna and no earphones, an old-fashioned pocket radio (since I'm a traditionalist). It's really something! (1-2 weeks delivery to Salisbury North, Australia) I will be happy with this because then I can listen to classical music wherever I go, I'll never lose a radio again, it's perfect. It's also inexpensive and I've known a lot of people to shop for inexpensive items. I've known a derelict (and he's a normal person) to have owned a very normal AM-FM pocket radio, low-tech, old-fashioned, average reception, and while he was gone, I changed the station at a facility (shared accommodation), this was the inspiration for my normal items. I always buy old-fashioned things, I'm a conformist. Now, is this normal?

I enjoy going into office supply stores and looking at a bunch of shit I have absolutely no need for, and have no intention of purchasing. I don't know. If it's similiar to what you're saying but I find it enjoyable. My point is, it's normal to do things you gain pleasure from even if they aren't for a good reason.
