I actually created a facebook account back when it was first started. Then I forgot about it for several years, because I lost interest in social media when myspace started shitting the bed. I checked my facebook last year and I had like 50 requests from people I haven't talked to in years. It was at that point that I realized I didn't want these almost strangers finding me on the internet and I made the right decision in running the hell away from them.
That being said, just because I prefer loneliness to shallowness doesn't mean I think everyone should.
Is it normal to unfriend of your high school friends on Facebook?
