Is it normal to twitch in sleep?

You know that state where you are like, half asleep? Well, when I'm like that, sometimes I will feel like I just had a really big twitch and become fully awake but I am never SURE it happened... Does this happen to you at all?

    Haha I get this. Sometimes it's so big it wakes me up. It especially happens if in my dream I fall or somehing and when I hit the ground I twitch

    My friend does that all the time it makes me LOL :) well be sitting on the coach and shell fall asleep and then just twitch :D bahah

    My hubby does this all the time! First time it we slept together he scared me half to death, lol!

    Ya I get those all the time and sometimes they scare the crap outta me and I wake up lol. It's normal though!

    It's a normal psychological response that sometimes happens right as you fall off to sleep
