Is it normal to troll internet forums?

It's normal. I used to troll people on YouTube, Yahoo Answers, and a little bit on here when I first discovered this place. I got bored and stopped doing it.

The best trolls are the least obvious ones, but then again many of the most hilarious trolls are pretty damn obvious.

I'm pretty sure it's the norm on IIN as well.

It's normal if you're on a crap website, instead of a respectable informational center such as this.

It is normal, as many people who frequent the Internet engage in some form of baiting or trolling, but it is not a recommend use of your time.

Trolling others usually involves frustrating them to your own amusement, and that isn't very nice. However, if you want to Rickroll someone for instance, or share jokes, that is okay, provided you are confident the other person will be okay with it. If they aren't, then apologize and don't repeat the offense.

With that said, there is much to do that does not consist of trolling, like editing informative sites, leaving up-building comments in forums, and constructive things of the like. :)

Sometimes it is hard to decide whether they are a troll or batshit crazy.
