Is it normal to treat my cat like my daughter?

Alright i've had my cat since I was 12 so for about 6 years now. My friends tell me I pamper her too much. She has her own room filled with toys, bed, blanket, ect. Not a full room just one that was once a walk in closet. She gets groomed 1 a week, I take her for a walk in a stroller. I'm only 18 and have money too spare to do this stuff to her and she is the only one who lives with me. I don't find a problem with it but my friends tells me it's not normal. What do you think?

Is It Normal?

  • I treat my cats like babies :P I have no interest in having human children, but I do love my cats as though they're my own children <3 I see nothing wrong with spoiling those you love, whether they walk on 4 legs or 2 ;)

  • If you put a little hat on it, it will look even more like a person... just sayin.

  • I have a crazy neighbour who talks to her cat as if it was a baby. Personally I think it is ludicrous. It can't even understand what she says. I bet she is convinced it does.

  • Well you should not treat animals like humans since that will more often just harm them more than do them good still if you cat knows how to behave it cant be to spoiled...
