Is it normal to toy with a shrink?

i sometimes make stuff up about myself in order to make myself sound "crazy" when i'm talking with my shrink.

one time i told him that i wanted to kill my stepmom (even though i don't have a stepmom), or i'll say stuff like "i really miss the voices that used to be in my head"

i know i'm just goofin' with the guy and i'm not hurting anyone, just making him think a little. does anyone else do this kind of thing?

    Oh, please. I've lied to shrinks before. Shrinks are all fake anyway. They don't actually see what you're really like. Their human, after all.

    Danny is right, he can see right through you. He also probably knows a lot more about your character by acting like that, so really you've given him what he wanted to begin with.

    On the other hand, stop goofing around and wasting his time! He is their to help you and if you just want to act immature, you're wasting both yours and his time.
