What's OP stand for? When it comes to torturing adults, it would be extremely difficult to get away with it. The reason people choose animals and children would be for convenience I'd imagine. An animal can't cry for help. A child who is too young either can't cry for help or is to scared or whatever. People really are sick.
I asked the original question, but it was to see if torturing animals is normal. I bet it's one of those things that is very difficult to get good statistics on because I don't think people would openly admit to such a thing. I don't do such things.
OP means original poster. i think people without a healthy outlet for stress tend to take it out on children and animals, or anyone they see as an easy target. it's best not to owe this people money or favors either. i think most of these people stop far short of the kind of torture you described. the others probably have bad parents or faulty wiring.
Is it normal to torture animals?
