Just by realizing that you (or whoever you are implying) could potentially be doing something VERY wrong is a good sign. Hurting animals is still a terrible thing to do and I URGE YOU TO GET PROFESSIONAL HELP. If you or whoever does one more thing to animals or anybody after this point, then I think you deserve a long jail sentence. But if you are willing to face your problem then now is the time and you can get help without harming another animal.
There is many anonymous hotlines for this sort of thing if you are worried about going into a psychiatrists only to get in legal trouble. I hope you can get help before getting into legal trouble if that is what you are afraid of.
I would doubt a hotline would do anyone that much of good. They would just be restating what you're stating, to get help and stuff. I doubt they pay license psychologists to work a hotline. Maybe social workers at the most. Not to mention calls do gets traced, so someone would still be putting themself at risk for seeking help in this way unless they go to a pay phone or something and keep the call short.
Is it normal to torture animals?
