I don't think it's normal... And no way in hell do those animals deserve this! Have a heart, stop yourself, it DOES start out with animals and then go on to humans.. If you don't want to have a crappy/ruined/sad/pathetic life get help now!
On the contrary, for a person to ruin his life by turning himself in and having a perfect record would be the one thing that causes him to have a crappy/ruined/sad/pathetic life, don't you think? Why should someone who does that cause himself to have a psychiatric and criminal record, and explain this to every future landlord and employer. "But I turned myself in" isn't going to carry the littlest bit of weight.
Well, if you get caught you're fucked anyway so why not try hurting yourself? Start ejoying and embracing the pain that you deserve from such a monster that you became.
