Is it normal to to be anger with gifts?

Is it just me who gets a weird anger when I receive a gift, for example?
Or any nice action, such as a task done for me, a special message for me, a card, flattering words..

I don't know. It doesn't matter whether I like it or not... I still feel angry deep inside.
To the point I sometimes torn the card, or throw the gift away, or curse in private.

Anyone angry on people liking you? Even though you may like them liking you?

    You perhaps feel invaded or insulted. Is it a sense that someone else has taken it upon themselves to decide what you need and when?

    Or do you have a sense of helplessness when you receive gifts.

    Maybe you see it as too intimate of a gesture, and you don't appreciate it (gift giving is very personal for me at least). Just remember, in spite of your feelings, most gifts are given with pure intentions

    I know whut you mean...My church offered me a scholarship to dartmouth during service and i swear i almost yelled goddamn it...the nerve of some people thinking about my future like that.....

    Remember that a real gift should just be a reminder that the giver cares about you. For such a gift, you should feel thankful.

    Of course, if it's a fake gift given by fake people, as most gifts are, then I fully understand you.

    I hate receiving gifts that I haven't asked for or things that I don't need. I'd usually rather get money than an actual gift because it's just something that I have to keep now even if I don't want it.

    I feel the same way about recieving gifts. I think it's because after I recieve a gift, I feel obligated to give one back, and it just starts a cycle that I really hate.
