The reason why we find ourselves more attractive in a mirror than let's say, a picture, is because familiarity causes more likeability. The more we see something, more exposed, the more we tend to grow fond of. Such as the people we see in our everyday lives, only in this case our faces. Also,since a mirror and a photo are reflected opposites, we see our familiar reflected face from the mirror(which we like compared to..) daily and not our photo face(which everyone else sees when talking to u). Learned it in psychology class. Read it in my psychology textbook. We find ourselves more attractive than what others may perceive btw!
