Is it normal to think you’re better than most people?

Pretty much do! Think I’m better than most my Famiy, and people I work with at my job. Is that normal?

  • It is normal, but I ensure you that you're not.

  • You're known by your actions.
    What proof do you have?
    If you're better you:
    1 Make more money.
    2 Have more friends.
    3 Can fly.
    4 Have a higher I.Q.
5 at the same age have done more with your life.
    6 Are renting to them.
    Etc,
IF you're better it is evident to all.
    By your actions.
BUT, if you're the only one that sees it.
    It's all in your head.
Superior blood is only proven in action.

  • You sound like a narcissist. I'm sure I'll regret asking, but what makes you better than them?

    • LOL I'd like to know too

    • Really? I could go on and on for a list of reasons.

      1. I have more money and a good job

      2. Held an apartment for almost 7 years now

      3. Responsible and honest—I always show up to stuff on time and I never lie to people—Always tell the truth

      4. Have more friends and connections

      5. Have a bright future

      6. Never been to jail or been in trouble with the law

      7. Not addicted to any drugs or anything illegal

      That’s just getting started.

      • If you're comparing yourself to people who regularly get evicted, are habitual liars, have a criminal record and are drug addicts, then you're setting the "personal excellence" bar pretty damn low.

Maybe you just feel superior to your family and work colleagues because your family is a rabble of low-life cretins, and you have to work with the scum of the earth.

        • Dude, I live in Minnesota. Most people here are scum and lowlifes. Really, come visit here sometime.

          • Yeah, you make it sound so enticing.

My mother's side of the family lived in Minnesota a long time ago, but they moved to the west coast in the 1930s. I guess the neighbourhood went downhill when they left.

            • The mainframe computer industry in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area went bust when I left in 1989. I personally couldn't keep the momentum going for them anymore.

      • Psh. Held an apartment for 7 years? You mean you're not even a homeowner? You realize as a renter that you're considered scum to landlords, the middle/upper middle class, and the elite, right?

        • Excuse you? Well I actually USED to live with my parents so they were the homeowners at the time, then I MOVED out on my own, no help at all and found a place I can afford!!! What about you? Do you still live with YOUR parents?

      • You truly need a lesson in humility. Your successes are commendable, but your condescending attitude holds you back far more than I think you realize.

      • Well, good for you, but a lot of people just expect all those things as a given. Maybe you came from a bad area or the wrong side of the tracks. I'm glad that you seem to have all your ducks in a row though.

      • Bragger. Your start is the end for you but the end is a start for you to think about what you just wrote and to look at the "isitnormal" question above.

        • Not sure what you’re point is....but sounds like you must Wish you were me or something!!! Why else are you complaining about what I’ve done good in my life?

  • It's normal if you're a psychopath.

  • It's called having an ego twice as big as your undersized dick.

  • I'd say it is normal to feel this way from time to time, but just know deep down that having beauty, money and possessions doesn't make you more blessed or a better person.

  • No one is better than anyone, as in has more worth. You may be better at certain things than others.

  • My ego is so high, I wouldn't even admit that I feel that way to myself let alone others, so power to you

  • Normal. Most people think they're better than most people. The commenters may sound aggressive, but if you asked them if they think they're above-average, they would probably say yes.

Or, the people in here just have low self-esteem.

  • I don't understand what "good" means.
