It it normal to think we need less posts on here and more quality of posts. Like so many are boring things or things we've all seen before. And also that way more people would comment, dicuss and vote on the actual good posts that there were. Is it normal to think we need less posts?
I see what you're saying, but most people, including myself, aren't too concerned with the overall quality of IIN. I just want my own dumb little post.
Fair enough. I just have so much down time here and there throughout the day. I don't think that many people actually scroll through all the posts like I do. Don't you wish you got more of a response to your posts though?
The ones that I think are dumb/basic are actually the ones that I get more of a response to. To get a response around here, the following criteria must be met-
1. Brevity (short attention spans/not caring). 2. Standard-ness (can't be too weird or deep). 3. Sensationalism (has to be some "oooh girl" shit, maybe about sex or drama.)
This ain't a serious site. I go to Reddit, a higher echelon, for more thoughtful responses.
Like what mate? A lot of posts on here are interesting and at least as many are funny as fuck also.
I don't know if this post would pass the quality control standard it suggest.
The point of this post was to ask if poeple think we need less posts to up the quality. How is that poor quality? Compared that to most posts that are boring as fuck! At least you can actually understand my post and it's not a troll. Those two things alone make it one of the better posts today.
Issues you consider boring and normal may be of pressing concern to others.
Especially newer members of IIN who haven't seen their concerns previously addressed.
If you are a member of IIN long enough you will see that your post concerning the quality of posts has been posted and reposted a number of times and, thus, itself becomes repetitive and boring.
It's all a matter of relativity.
I see what your saying. I have only been around a month or two but I still haven't seen a post asking this question since I've been on. I think the posts have actually gotten a little worse overall even since I've started on here, but maybe it's just me.
It seems to run in cycles. Sometimes there's interesting stuff and sometimes it's seems like a long run on ass eating posts, or post about liking a teacher, or the standard "I'm not gay but...".
The reason I came to this site was because of my...I'm not gay, but....story. I have never written about it on here because I see comments like yours a lot so apparently it's common and it bores people. So I just hang around to see what other people write about.
Alright mate, I'll stick it out and hopefully they get better. Also, how did I forget about the I'm straight but.... posts? Since the other 3 have been banned,those are probably the most annoying. Lol!
In my opinion we need more posts. But yeah, more interesting posts would be great.

Meta posts (mentioning usernames)
its just fun to watch how upset the narcissists / attention seekers on this site get when you have full power to take down their posts and get them banned
I get banned once a week. I think its charlie.m. i just make a similar account. Most times the owner will unban me. I think its some kind of automatic thing
Ya it's not her, don't listen to multi-account butthurt trolls like Mcbean and Nick. I used to get banned pretty regularly too, and yeah there is an automatic aspect to some of the shadow banning which i've yet to figure out. dont worry dude I only target the liars / attention seekers.
Yeah its not like im banned banned its just no one will be able to read my posts. This happens a bit and usually i message the owner and he unbans or undoes whatever it is. Its from talking about politics i think. After i talk about it all my posts get thumbs down and i get banned quick
I dont think Charlie.m is reporting you. As I recall her and the site owner have gotten into altercations in the past and I got the impression they really really dont like each other. Im not trying to shit talk anyone. I have nothing against the site owner, you, or her when I say this, btw.
I once heard that it takes more than one person to report a post for it to be taken down.
And if you correctly report rule breaking stuff enough, you'll get the power to have things removed from the site just by reporting it once. I dont know if it's true, but that's what an old user once said to me.
Someone on here told me to block charliem apparently he does it a lot. Everytime I argue with him I get banned too. Im looking for his posts to block him. That way he cant report me.
1. I don't have any power to get people banned.
2. Even if I did, I wouldn't use it simply because I disagree with someone. That's fucking retarded. Idk why you would accuse me of doing it when I clearly voice my opinions rather than being underhanded, but logic isn't your strong point.

Haha! Not sure why you posted this but it is good to know. I have reported a few of these already and I haven't been here long. At least incest and bestiality are banned, those posts were annoying as fuck.
I've not been here long but I like this site way more than Instagram, which is what I used to pop on every time I wanted to hit the internet. I like that the user base is small. You've got the constant posters and the ones who just show up randomly. There's people with real things to say and ones that are nonsensical. The posts are becoming a bit drab. And there's someone going around just down voting everything. And from what I've gathered Management has several people with different usernames "on the inside". That makes me feel less anonymous. But, whatchya gone do?
I do also love the small user base. I just feel like the post quality is going down and quantity is going up, so I wanted to see what people think. And I'm sure their are users on the inside but I'm not complaining too much. Some of the votes are probably a little off because of that tho.
I was hoping this would instead be about how we as a society are too focused on normal and trying to achieve it but it was about the quality of the site
No... sure some get missed but good ones will usually surface up in the most popular for the day/ week/ month. It would be nice to have less, but there is no proper way to do it. people are going to continue to ask questions that have been asked thousands of times before on here and create shit post for millennia to come, new users may want to interact with those and thats fine. but most of us wont click those so they wont trend unless they are somewhat good. You gotta keep it free and open i'd say.
Good response actually. I'm not saying there is a good solution, just wondering if people agree on the problem. Also, how many people do you think use the most popular for day/week/month features verses just scrolling through newest posts like I usually do?
I hear you, ya id definitely say it'd be nice to have less post but only because there simply isn't enough people interacting with them, many more "posters" than commenters/voters it seems. Not sure on how many would use the features. I use both quite regularly, but anytime i'm in the new post section I always expect it to be a little hunt... its always going to have a swarm of nonsense. But just like the feed of fb or any other social media.... you scroll through and find what interest you. and sometimes what feels to be shit post for us are exactly what another user may be looking for.
I agree mate. I am at a point in school where I have so many shlrt bits of free time throughout the day, that I read alsmots every new post. It probabky wont always be that way though. And yes, way more people post compared to commenting and voting on the posts of others, which is unfourtunate. I feel like the authors of posts don't reply as much as they should either, maybe its just me.
