Attraction doesn't follow set rules. And thank God it doesn't. How boring would life be if we all thought the same way?
As for whether you will be accepted, that's more a question for them. Personally, I have a bit of a soft spot for Indians and Indian culture. A lot of that is based around their tolerance, acceptance and general common sense. Be open-minded, be prepared to talk and to learn (especially to learn) and you may find you learn more about yourself than even your own culture taught you. Good luck.
