  • Oh dear.. well nobody can really diagnose her except a professional. Childhood schizophrenia is pretty rare as it normally develops in late teenage years and, as you probably know, schizophrenia is a degenerative illness that gets worse over time. I'd be keeping some really close tabs on her, it might clear up as some sort of childhood thing or it might be serious. There's no way for me or for you to judge that. If you're old enough, over 16 i believe, maybe you can do the booking of appointments. The likelihood that she's developed it from your mother is low, as schizophrenia isn't hereditary or a result of abuse.

    DID, multiple personality disorder, can be a result of an unstable upbringing but it doesn't sound like that from what you've said.
