Trousers (pants for you Americousins) tend not to be as soft - they're usually made of coarser, tougher materials like denim. I find that less comfortable against my man-bits. I also find my trousers / shorts stay fresher for longer when I have underwear between them and my baby maker. As davesumba said, you can change underwear daily but wear trousers for longer that way.
The only times I don't wear boxer shorts are when I'm completely naked.
Is it normal to think that underwear is bullshit?
