Is it normal to think that sex is overrated?

I've had it before a few times, but it just wasn't all that great. I'd much rather have a platonic relationship with someone, where the furthest we go is kissing or something along those lines. I find that more fun and thrilling than any form of sex; I don't even like to mention sex to the person I'm dating at the time. Is this normal?

Yes, I feel it's the feeling of being with someone who you love/care about and vice-versa that is more important than the sex. Sex is good for temporary pleasure as it is intended or to take our species forward but it should not be the most important facet of a relationship, but it's another way of expressing your love/affection.

I think it's normal at first, you just haven't found that person who really makes you enjoy it yet!
