Look, I have my grudges with religion too. That is actually a good discussion, if they are "real" muslims and christians. I think they are what they call themselves because they interpret it that way.
I think the ones that are terrorist are true to Islam in a very outdated fashion, I mean they follow people who spread a religion by sword. But the ones that aren't follow the religion in a more modern and improved way, just because the book doesn't change doesn't mean that the religion shouldn't.
Is it normal to think that muslims are trying to take over the world?

You are in effect saying that a peaceful religion can be based on a hateful book. I'm sorry to say so, but this sounds BEYOND laughable to me.
It would be wiser just to abandon such a religion, rather than to just ignore what its book says.
