If you find raising dogs more gratifying than raising children, then that's your choice. I don't want children because I don't think I could handle being so emotionally attached to something. The fact is, if you don't want kids, you shouldn't have them- if only for their own good. Some people are meant to be parents, and others aren't. It's not like our species is going extinct.
