I agree with all of your merits listed! (except "being financially secure. It's nice, but I don't feel anyone needs money to be successful or lead a happy, good life)
However I don't really see why appearance and looks would somehow not matter. Being physically attracted to someone is just part of how we're made, and we often cannot help it if we find someone attractive or not. It's just... the way the human animal evolved.
I don't think anyone should discriminate based on looks but I also don't think they should feel guilty or be shamed for not finding someone physically attractive. As much as a gay person shouldn't be for finding someone of the same gender attractive - you just can't help it!
It's a shame that people will be SO biased based on looks, but to deny looks as a factor all together seems a bit futile to me. Just my 2 cents! ^-^
