I kind of see where you're coming from with this, but I disagree.
I think that life in some way will continue to exist on this planet even if it's little single cells in a underground cave.
I hope we will soon find reason though, in the sense that we'll start distributing wealth and workload more evenly. We already understand this, it's just hard to change a whole society I suppose.
I feel like we'd do better without a hierarchy and a capitalist system, and better with sustainable human development I.E. something directly for the benefit of living humans, animals and ecosystems, and not for an abstract concept of wealth.
Respectfully, I feel that ALL life on Planet Earth will cease to exist should we continue on the path we're on.
We have three major problems to overcome:
1) Most plastics. Take a look around you and see how plastics have invaded our lives. Corporate greed has suppressed information in the public spotlight as to the real danger they pose. Microplastics are invading into living cells and are causing all biota to be poisoned.
2) Overpopulation.
3) An enlightened and ethical technological society needs to be developed in order for long term survival
(deep time).
We must all act quickly but not cause mass disruption in our civilisation.
Is it normal to think that greed in the first world will end us all?
