You said you were moderately attractive, but said ugly both in the title and the body of the story. It's almost like a battle between what you know you are and this knee-jerk reaction that maybe you're ugly. You honestly have to get rid of that little voice whispering in your ear, telling you that you are ugly.
Moderately attractive. Stick with that.
And when you ditch the "ugly" thing, you can probably think about ditching "moderately" too.
that was exactly what I needed to read right now. Thank you. I didn't even realize that my internal battle was reflected in this post. But I guess, inevitably, it is everywhere.
You're more than welcome. Nearly everyone goes through this, you know. I couldn't tell you the number of people who use the word ugly when they're actually genuinely beautiful to other people. It makes me want to lend them my eyes for five minutes so they could see them how I see them.
If they ever invent an easy way for me to share my eyes, you're more than welcome to five minutes yourself. Although, in the long-term, it'd be better if you saw all your good points with your own eyes. :)
Is it normal to think that dressing nice overrides being ugly?
