All music seems bad if you are old enough to remember what came before. I didn't like people my parent's age criticising what I listened to, so let's not repeat those same mistakes.
Point taken. Maybe it's just mainstream music you don't like (the kind that makes the charts and gets on TV). There are plenty of other people out there making music. It just takes more effort to find them because they're not thrust at us. Better still, if you have judgement enough to know bad music, then you also know good music. Why not create your own music? You don't even need to play an instrument these days. While I do play an instrument, I also use a piece of software called Reason (from Propellerhead) which gives me the same power as a professional studio rack and mixing desk, plus banks of instruments, effects modules, percussion, and sequencing tools. There are better tools out there, but I like this one because it's extraordinarily pretty and it's like the real deal.
The only thing that hampers me is that I really can't sing. If you sing as well, or know someone who can sing, there'd be no stopping you.
Is it normal to think that 90% of modern music is REALLY BAD ? ...
